THO Representatives Participate in Events at American University and Rutgers University

On Nov. 18, THO participated in No Lost Generation at American University's Winter Gala, where Program Officer Caysie Myers spoke with students and attendees about THO's humanitarian aid-focused programs and publications.

THO also donated selections from Turkish-American photographer Sinem Oguz's photo exhibit, "On the Border: Syrian Women and Children", to No Lost Generation at American University. The photos were exhibited at the gala.

Also on Nov. 18, THO President Ali Cinar participated in an International Day celebration at Rutgers University. There were over 25 countries represented at the International Day program, including Turkey. Congressman Payne thanked Cinar for his participation and support.

Congressman Payne also said: “We have repeatedly seen people of all cultures, religions, nationalities, and circumstances joined together to pursue justice during the darkest of times. International Day is a beautiful reminder that the United States is a remarkably diverse nation – and that diversity gives us strength. I am happy for the opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity of the Tenth Congressional District.”
