On July 17, 2018, Turkish Heritage Organization along with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Turkey Business Council and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, hosted a roundtable discussion on the future of the Turkish Economy.
This invitation-only discussion included speakers from both the IMF and World Bank. This discussion largely revolved around Turkey’s past economic success despite a global financial crisis, and the potential for future economic success in the face of current challenges. In Turkey’s post-election state, their economy is facing several challenges coinciding with changes to Turkey’s political structure. These challenges include a growing population, climate change, and inflation amongst other issues.
