Ed Whitfield is a seasoned politician, working in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to his resignation in 2016. Whitfield represented Kentucky’s 1st congressional district. While serving in the House of Representatives, Whitfield was on the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and served on three subcommittees; Subcommittee on Energy and Power (as Chairman), Subcommittee on Environment and Economy, and the Subcommittee on Health. Whitfield was also one of the Co-Founders of the United States Turkish Caucus, recognizing Turkey’s critical role in NATO due to its geographical positioning. Whitfield received his undergraduate degree as well as his J.D. from the University of Kentucky.
