THO Executive Vice President Cınar said that the attack was a result of Turkey’s increasingly stronger tone against Daesh, citing Turkey’s reconciliation with Israel and apology to Russia as symbols of its commitment to international security cooperation.

China Central Television America’s (CCTV) daily news talk program “The Heat” hosted Turkish Heritage Organization (THO) Executive Vice President Ali Cinar to discuss the terror attack that occurred on June 28 in Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport. Cinar discussed the importance of cooperation between Turkey and its allies to share information regarding individuals who have been flagged as Daesh sympathizers in order to prevent them from using Turkey as a gateway into Syria. Reminding the other commentators and the audience that Turkey labeled Daesh a terrorist organization very early in its existence, Cinar emphasized that the Turkish government fights all terrorist organizations with equal vigor, and rejected any suggestions that Turkey’s conflict with the PKK took precedent over the fight against Daesh.
