Spring 2017 Internship

Term: Three months starting in March 2017

Application deadline: February 28, 2017 at 11:59 PM

Turkish Heritage Organization (THO) is seeking a part-time, paid intern for its Washington office to provide research support and administrative assistance for projects and events.

THO is a young nonprofit organization that was established to promote discussion and dialogue around Turkey’s role in the international community and to explore the importance of the U.S.-Turkey bilateral relationship across six issue areas: security, humanitarian aid, economy, energy, education, and technology. Through its portfolio of events, programs, and publications, THO seeks to expand channels of communication and bridge the gap between government officials, opinion leaders, and subject-matter experts.

In supporting the work of a young, dynamic organization, the spring 2017 intern will acquire in-depth experience with THO’s issue areas in the context of U.S.-Turkey relations. The intern will also have the opportunity to contribute original writing and analysis to THO and to meet with government officials and experts through THO’s activities and events.

Intern responsibilities:

  • Conduct research for THO publications and programs;
  • Contribute original writing and analysis;
  • Support THO event planning and execution, including audience building, tracking RSVPs, and creating event materials;
  • Provide additional programmatic and administrative support as necessary.
